Transient Dynamic Analysis in APDL
Budget: €2 – €12 EUR
I have a component that sees time-varying loads and I need its structural response captured through a full transient dynamic study written entirely in Ansys APDL commands. The geometry is already defined in a neutral CAD file; what I’m missing is a robust APDL input deck that sets up material data, meshing, boundary conditions, the load-time history, solution controls and post-processing so I can replay or tweak it on my side without Workbench.
Because this is a structural, dynamic, transient analysis, accuracy in time-step selection, damping definition and result extraction (stress, displacement, reaction forces) is critical. Please use standard APDL best practices—element type justification, mass proportional damping where needed, and output requests that minimise file size yet capture all peaks.
Deliverables
• Clean, commented .inp (or .dat) APDL script ready to run
• Brief run log highlighting solver settings and any warnings
• Post-processing macro that generates plots and CSV tables for displacement and von-Mises stress at key nodes versus time
