Simulation Expert for COMSOL Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics (Validation vs Published Paper)
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am looking for an experienced COMSOL Multiphysics expert to build a model from scratch for a photovoltaic–thermal (PV/T) system with water cooling, based on a published journal paper (attached).
The goal is not only to build the model, but to match and validate the results reported in the paper (temperature trends, outlet water temperature).
Scope of Work:
• Build full 3D COMSOL model from scratch
• Physics: Turbulent flow, Conjugate heat transfer (solids + fluid), and Transient heat transfer.
• Geometry: PV layers (can be simplified if justified), Water channel with segmental baffles.
• Boundary conditions: Solar heat flux, Convective and radiative losses, Proper energy balance.
• Transient study using time-dependent conditions.
• Post-processing: Outlet bulk water temperature, PV surface temperature, and Useful heat gain (Qᵤ) to check energy balance.
Deliverables:
• COMSOL (.mph) model file
• Explanation of physics choices and assumptions
• Plots comparing COMSOL results with paper figures
• Confirmation that mass and energy balances are correct
Required Expertise:
• Strong experience with COMSOL Multiphysics
• Proven work in CFD + heat transfer
• Familiar with solar thermal / PV/T systems
• Able to debug energy balance issues
• Please include similar validation work (if you have done it).
