SIMUL8 or equivalent - Commercial Vehicle loading (Manufacturing) Workflow Optimization
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 CAD
I have project that involves designing the layout options for the loading of 6, 8 and 10 axel vehicles. I need to model the options in SIMUL8 or equivalent to be able to represent accurate cycle times and work practices.
My objectives are clear. First, reveal and quantify bottlenecks that slow daily output. Second, test improvement ideas that raise overall efficiency without new capital expenditure. Finally, compare alternative layouts or staffing mixes to see which scenario delivers the greatest cost reduction.
I will supply current routing sheets, throughput figures, staffing rosters, and changeover data in Excel along with a rough value-stream map. You translate that into a complete SIMUL8 model, validate it against our historical KPIs, then run what-if scenarios and present the results.
Deliverables
• Fully documented SIMUL8 file with all logic, resources, and performance metrics
• Validation summary showing how the model matches baseline data
• Scenario pack: at least three what-if experiments highlighting efficiency gains, cost savings, and bottleneck removal
• Short walkthrough video or live session so my engineering team can keep the model updated
