OpenFOAM Airflow Analysis Training

Job ID: 40122022

Budget: $750 – $1,500 CAD

I have a compact project that combines a real-world airflow study with live, hands-on instruction in OpenFOAM. The goal is two-fold, and I value each part equally: first, to model how air moves through angled heat-exchanger coils and spot any tubes that suffer from poor flow; second, to design and test simple turning vanes that deliver an even velocity profile whether the unit is front-fed or bottom-fed.

You will run the full simulation workflow in front of two of us, explaining every step—from meshing strategy and boundary-condition choices to solver settings, post-processing in ParaView and interpretation of the velocity, pressure and stream-trace data. I want to understand the simulations, learn the key OpenFOAM commands and case-setup logic, and be able to read the results with confidence.

Deliverables
• Fully organised OpenFOAM case directory for each configuration, ready to rerun
• Result files and your recommended ParaView state files for quick visualisation
• A concise written summary of findings and vane recommendations
• Screen-sharing training sessions (broken into logical stages) recorded for later review

Because the unit is already being prototyped, timing is critical; I would like to start immediately and wrap up as soon as the analysis and training are complete. If this fits your expertise and schedule, let’s begin right away.
