Omnet++/SUMO/Veins Simulation

Job ID: 39763010

Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD

I already have SUMO talking to OMNeT++ through Veins, but I need an expert to jump in right away and help me push this setup to the finish line. The immediate objective is protocol testing, specifically the dissemination of safety-critical messages, and I must be able to measure how efficiently those messages travel across the network.

Where the build currently stands: the basic coupling works, yet I’m running into timing and routing inconsistencies that are skewing throughput and delay statistics. Your task is to audit the existing modules, resolve the sync issues, and run targeted experiments that highlight message-delivery efficiency under realistic traffic densities.

You’ll work directly in the OMNeT++/Veins workspace (current versions) with SUMO scenarios I provide. Once everything compiles and runs cleanly, I need reproducible simulation runs, CSV logs of key metrics (latency, delivery ratio, overhead), and a brief technical note explaining the results and any parameter changes.

Acceptance criteria
• Simulation starts from the supplied launch file without errors.
• Safety message dissemination protocol executes and completes for all defined runs.
• Collected data clearly shows efficiency metrics and is exportable for further analysis.

If you’re available to begin immediately and comfortable troubleshooting under tight deadlines, this project is ready for you.
