5.8 GHz Reflection Phase Shifter
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m looking for a complete design of a reflection-type phase shifter that will operate in the 5.8 GHz ISM band and support beam steering. The solution must achieve repeatable, low-loss phase shifts with 5 degree resolution and be driven by an analog control network (varactor, PIN diode, or similar—whichever you can justify through performance and availability).
Scope of work
– Model and optimise the circuit for 5.725 – 5.875 GHz, targeting minimal insertion loss and good return loss across the tuning range.
– Provide simulation files (Keysight ADS, CST, HFSS, or an equivalent RF tool) demonstrating S-parameter performance and phase tuning behaviour.
– Deliver a detailed schematic, bill of materials with part numbers that are procurable worldwide, and clear biasing/control guidance.
– Generate a manufacturable PCB layout (Gerbers, drill files, stack-up notes). A compact footprint that can be integrated into an existing beam-steering front end is preferred.
– Include a brief test plan outlining how to verify phase accuracy and loss once the board is fabricated.
I will handle fabrication and lab measurements locally; therefore, concise documentation and clear test points are essential. If you can suggest component substitutions or layout tweaks after initial reviews, that flexibility is appreciated.
