I am working on a COMSOL model related to induction heating and need help checking the results and debugging the simulation.
The model includes a copper coil, an aluminum cover, and steel pins. The goal is to analyze whether adding the steel pins significantly affects the magnetic field distribution and the heating behavior of the workpiece.
There are two tasks:
Task 1 – Result verification
Two of the COMSOL models can run successfully, but one model produces an unrealistic result. After adding the steel pins, the temperature difference at the same time step is about 200°C, which seems too large. I would like help checking whether this difference is physically reasonable or caused by a modeling or setup issue.
Task 2 – Model debugging
Another model that I rebuilt from scratch gives solver errors once I add the frequency-domain or time-dependent study. I would like help identifying the possible causes and debugging the model. This may involve checking materials, boundary conditions, multiphysics coupling, mesh, and solver settings.
Timeline:
Task 1: result needed by Monday
Task 2: not urgent, feedback before next weekend is fine
