850 nm IR Controller Design

Design the driver circuit for a camera strobe synced 850nm IR LED light source controller.
Scope of this project:
- Driver circuit for high power 850nm IR LED, around 45-degree beam, 3 LED per unit aimed center, left and right, mounted at angle to cover the wide camera view.
- Trigger input from the camera strobe, opto isolated. 12V supply. LED in series string on 12V.
- Pulse about 2ms at 10fps, about 2% duty. Pulse overdrive for brightness, with hard current limit and duty limit for protection.
- Prefer a power efficient LED.
- Select the LED and the main parts, and do the design calculation (overdrive current, thermal, headroom on 12V).

- Schematic of the driver, the selected LED and main part list, and a short design note.
