DC-DC 28-120 V Boost Converter

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

I need a DC-DC converter prototype as per the following parameters:

-Power Rating: 150W
-Input: 28V DC Nominal (+/- 2V variation in the input)
-Output: 180V, 1A
-Output Adjustment: 60-180V using a 10K Ohm External Pot
-Output Regulation: 2%
-Regulated 120 V output under varying load and temperature.
-High efficiency and low EMI because this board will sit close to sensitive vehicle controls.
-Robust protection—input reverse polarity, over-current, over-temperature and soft-start are all essential.

Preferred workflow
You run the calculations, build and verify the topology in LTspice, PLECS, or a similar simulator, then create the schematic and multilayer PCB in Altium (KiCad is fine if you prefer). I’ll review each milestone before we move on to the next.

Deliverables
1. Design report with key equations and component choices
2. Simulation files showing efficiency and transient behaviour
3. Complete schematic and annotated PCB layout (Gerbers + 3D step)
4. BOM with manufacturer part numbers and availability notes
5. Brief test plan so I can validate the first article on the bench

Once the design is validated I may ask for firmware tweaks for an MCU-based controller, so familiarity with digital control loops is a bonus, though not mandatory.
