Smart Water Tank Level IoT Device Design

Job ID: 40364028

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

**Title:**
IoT Hardware Engineer / PCB Designer Needed for Smart Water Tank Level Monitoring Device

**Description:**
We are looking for an experienced **IoT hardware engineer / PCB designer** to help us design a **smart water tank level monitoring device** for residential, building, and remote-site use.

The product will measure the water level inside a tank and send alerts when the level becomes **low**, **high/full**, or when there is a **sensor/device issue**.

We are seeking a professional who can take this from **system architecture and component selection** to **schematic, PCB layout, and manufacturing-ready files**.

**Preferred product direction:**

* Non-contact level sensing (preferably **ultrasonic**, top-mounted)
* **Wi-Fi version** for homes/buildings
* Optional **NB-IoT / LTE-M / Cat-M version** for farms or remote tanks
* Outdoor-capable enclosure design consideration
* Reliable, low-maintenance, and cost-effective design

**Scope of work:**

* Review requirements and recommend final sensing + connectivity architecture
* Prepare hardware block diagram
* Select components and optimize BOM for cost/performance
* Design full schematic
* Design PCB layout
* Prepare manufacturing package (Gerbers, BOM, assembly files, source files)
* Add production/debug test points
* Provide engineering notes for prototype manufacturing

**Nice to have:**

* Experience with water level / tank monitoring devices
* Experience with outdoor IoT products
* Low-power design experience
* Firmware bring-up support for hardware validation
* 3D/mechanical integration support

**Deliverables:**

* Final block diagram
* Component selection / BOM
* Full schematic
* PCB layout
* Gerber files
* Assembly/manufacturing files
* Test point map
* Final source design files
* Documentation in English

**To apply, please send:**

* Brief summary of your relevant experience
* Examples of similar IoT / sensor / outdoor hardware projects
* Your preferred CAD tool (Altium, KiCad, Eagle, etc.)
* Your availability
* Estimated timeline
* Your proposed cost and milestones

**Important:**
We prefer someone who understands not only PCB design, but also **real-world reliability, manufacturability, and field deployment considerations**.

Please make sure your proposal clearly explains:

1. Your recommended sensing approach
2. Your recommended communication architecture
3. Similar products you have designed
4. What is included vs excluded in your scope
