Project Overview: We are looking for a Mobile Developer specialized in signal processing to develop digital balance and gait assessment tests (specifically the Digital Fukuda Stepping Test) for a vertigo-related smartphone application.
Connection to Vertigo: Vertigo impairs balance and orientation. By recording body deviation and rotation during specific tests, we provide clinicians with critical data on vestibular health.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Mobile Sensor Fusion: Capture real-time data from the smartphone's gyroscope and accelerometer while the device is worn by the user.
2. Digital Fukuda Test: Implement an algorithm to calculate the precise Angle of Rotation (Yaw) and displacement during "stepping in place" exercises.
3. Drift Compensation: Use Kalman or Mahony filters to eliminate sensor noise and ensure medical-grade accuracy.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS - READ BEFORE BIDDING:
• Work Samples Required: You must provide evidence of previous projects involving Mobile Sensors (IMU data) and Signal Processing. Samples of gait analysis, motion tracking, or orientation algorithms are required.
• Mathematical Background: Deep understanding of sensor drift and filtering is essential.
