Siemens NX Machine Part Modeling

Job ID: 40250727

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m working on a mechanical component design assignment and need a fully-defined machine part created in Siemens NX. The model should be parametric, cleanly constrained, and organized so I can tweak key dimensions later without rebuilding the feature tree.

Scope
• Build the 3D part inside Siemens NX from my hand-sketches and reference dimensions (I’ll supply these as PDF/PNG).
• Apply sensible datum structure and naming so the file remains readable.
• Produce an up-to-date drawing sheet with views, dimensions, and tolerances that match the model.
• Export a neutral STEP file alongside the native .prt file.

Acceptance
• All dimensions and relationships match the supplied reference within ±0.05 mm.
• No dangling constraints or failed features when the file opens in NX (version 2212 or later).
• Drawing regenerates without errors and carries the same revision as the model.

Although manufacturability isn’t the main objective—the work is for assignments—good modelling practice is still important. If you have ideas to improve feature order or robustness, feel free to suggest them.

Please share a short note on your Siemens NX experience and an example screenshot or two of similar machine parts you have modeled.
