Shopify Store - Custom Color Picker and Product Options Integration
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I run a Shopify store selling paint, brushes, wallpapers, and related products using the Release theme, which I like for its clean and minimalist design. I want to add a custom color selection feature on the product pages similar to this example: https://www.nordsjo.se/sv/produkter/nordsj%C3%B6-one-supreme?size=1L
Key requirements:
When the customer selects paint, they first choose the color category or main color.
After this selection, a popup/modal or box should appear showing the number of colors available in that category, including different shades/nuances, for the customer to pick from visually.
Then, the customer selects the size/volume of the product (e.g., 1L, 3L) and the number of cans they want to buy.
The color picker should be user-friendly and ideally support search/filter functionality if there are many colors.
Volume and quantity selections must work seamlessly alongside the color selection.
For other products like brushes and wallpapers, standard variant options are sufficient.
All selections must be clearly reflected in the cart, checkout, and admin orders.
The solution must integrate well with the Release theme, preserving its minimalist and fast-loading design.
Preferably, use a Shopify app like Infinite Options, Zepto Product Personalizer, or similar, customized to fit the theme’s style.
Custom coding is acceptable to replicate the desired user experience similar to the referenced Nordsjö page.
The system should handle 50+ colors or more without Shopify’s variant limit issues.
Project management & communication:
I expect frequent progress updates to ensure no time is wasted on unnecessary work or features outside the scope. We will have regular meetings via Skype or another agreed communication tool to discuss progress and next steps. So we don't waist time on wrong stuff.
Clear and timely communication is essential throughout the project.
Deliverables:
Fully functional and styled color picker integrated on paint product pages.
Popup/modal showing available color shades per selected category.
Size and quantity selectors integrated with the color picker.
