Shopify Store Clothes Measurement Integration
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am seeking a developer with previous proven experience with the Shopify API who can help me implement a tailor-fit system in my Shopify store.
1. In the online shop, when ordering clothes, the user should chose between standard sizes (s/m/l/xl) or providing his/her actual measurements.
2. When electing to provide the actual measurements, the relevant input fields will appear with an explanation/help text and illustrations.
3. When the user starts to fill inn the input fields, for instance height, weight and sex, the other fields will be filled with average values corresponding to the ones provided. These average values will be provided by me.
4. Many similar apps are found in Shopify's app store, but they all translate the customer's measures to the nearest standard size (S/M/L). This app will not do that. We tailor all clothes to the customers size. We don't produce anything until you have ordered, so we need the actual measurements to be conveyed to us with the order.
5. The measurements we will ask for will depend on the type of garment. But we want height, weight, sex and age for all. For shirts we need chest width and neck. For trousers, inseam, hip, waist and thigh. For other garments combinations of these.
6. The user can chose weather to give the measurements in inches or centimetres.
7. All text is in English only.
8. The user might order a shirt for himself and a dress for his wife. For this purpose, he must be able to clear the size data after each garment is placed in the shopping basket, without the new data affecting the clothes already in the basket.
9. If the user goes on to order more clothes, he should not have to fill inn his measurements again for each garment. But when he leaves the shop and Shopify and closes the browser, the data could disappear.
10. For each garment, the measures for each item are conveyed with the order. The measures should also be stored with each item in order history.
The end goal is to create a customer-centric shopping experience where placing an order might include entering actual body measurements in a web shop that make all garments to size without extra costs.
(A final comment on AI, avatars, measurements from mobile photos and all that: I have tried several of these services, and so far they seem cumbersome to use and unpractical. So I don't want to go down that road for now.)
