Shopify Front-End Developer for "Symmetry" Theme
Budget: €500 – €5,000 EUR
We are an e-commerce group based in Germany (Essen & Berlin) and are looking for a skilled Shopify front-end developer to construct an online store using the Shopify theme "Symmetry". The project involves translating a design created in Figma into a fully functional Shopify store. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Shopify development and proficiency in the liquid template language.
Our Figma-design is based on the Shopify theme „Symmetry“ and mostly features funcional elements from the theme. However, some adjustments in the code will have to be made – with our design we will provide a full documentation of that as well as a set of content for Home- and Product Page. The final result should have as little code adjustments as possible.
As we manage several brands and online-stores, ideally this cooperation would result in a long-term partnership as we are looking for a freelancer who could help us with future endeavors and be available if we ever need adjustments to this and other stores.
Project Details:
1. Theme Implementation: The primary task is to implement the design provided in Figma using the Shopify theme "Symmetry." This includes customizing the theme to match the design specifications, ensuring responsiveness across various devices, and optimizing the user experience. The Figma design includes comments about how some of the elements work and how the content is created (whether it's static or dynamic) and most of the content can be provided ahead. (see a PDF preview of our design below, the Figma link can be provided upon request/when the project is started)
2. Customization and Styling: The developer will be responsible for customizing the theme's layout, color scheme, typography, and other visual elements to align with the design provided. Attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics are crucial.
3. Integration of Third-Party Apps: Depending on the project requirements, integration of third-party Shopify apps may be necessary. The developer should be familiar with app installation, configuration, and customization within the Shopify environment.
Requirements:
• Proficiency in Shopify development with hands-on experience in theme customization, preferably already with the "Symmetry" theme.
• Strong command of liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to implement custom functionality as needed.
• Experience working with design tools such as Figma to translate designs into code.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers and other team members.
• A portfolio showcasing previous Shopify projects and front-end development work is highly desirable.
