Remove slide effect in Shopify slideshow banner (theme: Impulse)

I have an active Shopify store that features a slideshow banner on the homepage. I would like to remove the slide effect and have the images 'fade' in instead. Looking for someone who can help me with changing this in the code. I am not new to coding so I would like to do it myself with the help of you. Small budget for this small change. Thank you
