Objective:
Facilitate the synchronization of products from different merchants using Shopify and our platform.
Ensure the timely updating of product stock upon a purchase.
Issue:
Our platform offers an API integration allowing merchants to load and update products. The challenge arises when attempting to synchronize products from a merchant using Shopify without the technical resources for API integration. Currently, there's no streamlined method for this process.
Requirement:
Develop a plugin facilitating automatic inventory synchronization of products listed in Shopify, including their properties such as taxonomies, brands, departments, keywords, categories, subcategories, and price.
Enable automatic stock updates for products based on activity in Shopify or our platform.
Implement functionality to remove products from our platform when they are deleted from the Shopify catalog.
Initial Setup:
The Shopify dashboard must allow configuration of credentials (Token ID and Secret Key) for plugin integration.
Initial synchronization should include taxonomies like brands, departments, categories, and subcategories.
Provide an endpoint to send and receive identifiers for all brands, departments, categories, and subcategories from Shopify, to be used when creating or updating products on our platform.
Products:
The plugin should support starting a synchronization process for all or specific products by taxonomy in Shopify.
New products or variations added in Shopify should automatically update in our platform via API, including stock changes from orders.
Orders:
Orders placed on our platform should automatically notify the corresponding Shopify merchant through a Webhook, updating the product stock in Shopify as per the order.
