EXPERT Shopify Developer - Improve product filtering

Restaurant (on the current website) can be replaced with BRAND (as per the doc)

-They are using an app - product filter and search currently. he said it was clunky - can we still use this or do you suggest a better solution? Should be easy for client to manage and be able to add new tags in the future when they expand product offering
-Multiple filter tags need to work together.
For EXAMPLE - a client can select Gluten Free + Vegan Tags and then all products in both gluten free and vegan will show up
