Apply mobile parallax effect on existing shopify theme which has desktop parallax working
Budget: $10 – $40 AUD
I am looking for a Shopify developer to edit my chosen theme and enable parallax on the mobile version of my home page. The parallax effect works on Desktop already.
Ideal skills and experience for this job include:
- Shopify development experience
- Knowledge of parallax effects on mobile devices
Project Scope & Requirements:
- Parallax effect to be applied to mobile version of shopify website for both parallax sections on current home page (i.e. Section 1 = “screenshot1”, Section 2 = “screenshot2”)
- Mobile parallax background image should automatically resize and look the same / very similar to desktop version.
- iOS & Android compatible
- Scrolling effect must be smooth on mobile
- Background image must be able to be changed via theme customization portal and still maintain working properly
- Freelancer to join as a collaborator on Shopify
- copy of theme file to be made and all edits to be performed on offline version.
- Instructions on what code to edit such that I can apply the effect when the theme is updated.
Current status:
- My theme allows me to upload a different image (it recommends to resize to 760px) for the Mobile Parallax area
- If a separate mobile image is not uploaded, it defaults to use the full size parallax image (1900px)
- Within the theme editor portal, I have not changed to use a separate image for mobile background image (760px) and therefore current mobile website is using the 1900px image in the parallax section
