Shopify- update product warning erro

We are using shopify and needs to do some custom code.
We have multiple stores in Melbourne and provide delivery & Click and Click.
When adding multiple products to cart where one item is exclusively available at Canberra and another product in the cart is exclusively available at Chadstone, the order can neither be Shipped, as a product in the cart is not available at Chadstone, nor can it be Picked Up as neither store can fulfill the whole order.
The customer gets an error message on the cart but it does not indicate the problematic item.
