Shopify URL Redirect

Hello

We have a custom app which redirects users to

https://waveableart.com/cart/42728381645015:1

This is using the permalink documentation here

https://shopify.dev/apps/channels/cart-permalinks/cart-permalinks

However after adding the product to cart it takes them straight to checkout.

I want to take users to the cart page instead.

Can anybody help?
