Shopify Theme Code Fix

I'm experiencing a challenge with my Shopify store's theme code, specifically on the homepage. Here's what I need help with:
I am using Shrine theme all my product pages are good. But my home page when I add section to it they look like they are there but disappear when I save.
The issue started when I had gem pages on my previous website when I published the site the home page came up as a gem page. I uninstalled gem pages which has now led to the issue with the home page. Gem pages has messed up the code.
This is a quick job I need done today. Should only take 5 minutes if you know what you are doing.
