Shopify Store Setup with Midocean API Integration and Email Automation
Project Description:
I am setting up a new Shopify store and need a complete integration with Midocean.com’s API to automatically import product data, including images, descriptions, prices, and stock levels. Additionally, I require an automated email system to handle order confirmations and customer approvals before production. Below are the specific tasks that need to be completed.
Scope of Work:
1. Shopify Setup & General Configuration
Configure the basic settings of my Shopify store
Select and set up a suitable Shopify theme
Optimize payment and shipping settings
2. Midocean API Integration
Establish a stable API connection with Midocean.com
Automatically fetch and sync product data (names, descriptions, images, prices, stock levels, etc.)
Ensure daily automatic updates for stock and price changes
3. Product Management & Categorization
Properly categorize imported products within Shopify
Ensure descriptions and images are displayed correctly
Implement a system to allow minor adjustments to the imported data if needed
4. Automated Email System (Order Confirmation Process)
Send an automatic email to the customer upon order placement
Require customers to confirm their orders via email before production starts
If the customer does not confirm, send follow-up reminder emails
Set up the email automation within Shopify or using an external service (SMTP, SendGrid, Mailgun, etc.)
5. Future Maintenance & Scalability
Ensure the API connection remains stable and reliable
Automatically update product data when new items are added or prices change
Provide an easy-to-use admin panel or settings section for manual modifications if necessary
Freelancer Requirements:
Experience with Shopify API & Liquid coding
Proficiency in PHP, Python, or Node.js for API integration
Previous experience in Shopify email automation and order management
A proven track record of successful API integration projects
Must be reliable and deliver within the agreed timeline
Budget & Timeline:
Budget: €600 - €1000 (depending on experience and quality of work)
Timeline: 20 calendar days (strict deadline, non-negotiable)
