Shopify Security Expert / Advanced Senior Developer
Budget: $750 – $1,500 CAD
We urgently seek a highly skilled and diligent Shopify Security Expert to thoroughly review our 5-6 Shopify stores and our associated GitHub repositories. The primary focus of this role is to identify and mitigate potential hacking or fraudulent risks that may have been left behind by the previous developer.
Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting a detailed examination of every line of code within our Theme Files, including debugging if necessary.
- Ensuring no suspicious or harmful elements are present within our Shopify admin settings, including but not limited to Products, Collections, and all other Settings.
- Identifying and mitigating any potential vulnerabilities that could be exploited to harm our business or use our clients for blackmail.
We suspect the previous developer may have left traces that could potentially damage us or our clients in the long term, and we need a seasoned security expert to ensure our stores are secure.
This is a high-stakes position that requires a deep understanding of Shopify, its architecture, and its security features. Applicants should have a proven track record in cybersecurity, specifically within the Shopify ecosystem. Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Shopify Security Expert or Advanced Senior Developer, with a focus on security.

- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity threats and how they apply to eCommerce platforms.
- Familiarity with best-practice security standards and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
