Shopify Search & Discovery Filter Setup for Large Apparel Store (2000+ Products)
We run a Shopify store selling apparel and accessories with 2,000+ products across 80+ collections. Our mobile app pulls filters from Shopify's Search & Discovery app, but our product taxonomy is built through collection structure (not tags or metafields), so the app currently has no usable filtering. We need someone to bridge that gap.
What You'll Do:
- Audit our catalog and collection hierarchy (3-tier structure: gender > product group > specific type, plus 30+ artist collections and theme collections)
- Design and propose a tagging/metafield schema that translates our collection architecture into filterable product attributes
- Bulk-apply the schema across the full catalog (Matrixify, CSV, Shopify Flow, or similar)
- Configure Search & Discovery filters so users can browse by gender, product type, artist, theme, and price
- Test that filters work correctly on the storefront and within our mobile app

- Hands-on experience configuring Shopify's Search & Discovery app
- Strong understanding of metafields, tags, and bulk product editing
- Experience with large catalogs (1,000+ SKUs) and complex collection structures
