Shopify Product Listing Layout Fix
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
Job: Fix duplicate content bug on Shopify collection pages (+ split into two content blocks)
The problem: Whatever text is entered in the collection description field on our collection pages renders twice on the live page — once above the product grid, once below. It happens regardless of what's in the field, including brand-new content, so it's a template/Liquid issue, not a content mistake on our end.
What I need done:
Diagnose why the content is rendering twice (likely a section/template referencing the collection description, or a duplicated content block, in the theme's Liquid code).
Fix it so content only renders once.
Preferred approach, not just a patch: rather than collapsing it back to one block, split the template into two genuinely independent content areas — one rendering above the product grid, one below — each with its own editable field. I already have different content written for both positions on several pages and would like to use both rather than lose one.
Confirm the fix doesn't break the layout or any non-city collection pages on the site
Brief explanation of what caused it, so I understand it going forward.
Timeline: This week if possible — it's actively undermining an in-progress SEO/content recovery, so newly written content is going live already duplicated.
Scope/type: Small, well-defined fix for someone experienced in Shopify theme development / Liquid — not a large project. Open to fixed-price or hourly, whichever you prefer to quote.
