Shopify–Odoo Integrated Store Build
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am ready to launch an online store that runs on Shopify for the customer-facing experience while relying on Odoo (v16) as the back-office brain for inventory, orders, customers, and reporting. The core requirement is a seamless, near real-time two-way sync so that any change in stock levels, pricing, order status, shipping updates, or returns flows automatically between the two systems without manual effort.
Storefront specifics
• I’ll be selling physical products only.
• I already have an approved Shopify theme, so no ground-up design is necessary; styling tweaks and the normal theme setup steps will be part of the job.
• Functionality must include product reviews, a secure customer login area, advanced search/filtering, and the standard e-commerce toolkit (discount codes, abandoned-cart emails, multi-currency, tax/shipping rules, etc.).
Odoo side
The instance is clean, self-hosted and ready for configuration. You’ll connect the Sales, Inventory, and Accounting modules to Shopify, setting up automated workflows so that:
1. Products and variants created or updated in Odoo appear in Shopify with images, descriptions, and SEO fields.
2. Online orders instantly create corresponding sales orders in Odoo, reserving stock and triggering fulfillment.
3. Stock moves, returns, or manual adjustments in either system update the other.
4. Payment status, tracking numbers, and refunds stay fully synchronized.
Please build with proven connectors or custom API scripts (Python, GraphQL, webhooks) that you can document and test. My preference is to keep everything as close to native as possible for easier maintenance, but I’m open to the best-practice mix of apps, middleware, or light custom code.
Deliverables
• Configured Shopify store (theme installed, core pages created, sample catalog loaded, required apps/plugins set).
• Odoo modules configured with secure credentials and automated scheduled jobs.
• Written step-by-step deployment and rollback guide plus a brief training call so my team can manage daily operations.
• One month of post-launch support to iron out any sync quirks.
Acceptance criteria
The project is complete once a test product added in Odoo appears live on Shopify within two minutes, a test order on Shopify shows in Odoo with correct stock deduction and financial entries, and status changes flow both ways without error.
