Shopify Metafields and Product Options Update

I’m looking for an experienced Shopify developer to help update the way my store handles product options and metafields.

Because many of my products have over 100 variants per style, my site was originally set up using the Webify Metafields Editor app to work around Shopify’s variant limit. I currently use Shopify’s native variants for attributes that affect price (metal, stone, and dimensions), while size and finish are handled via Webify metafields as non-price-impacting options displayed on the product page.

Now that Shopify has native support for metafields, I’d like to move away from Webify and migrate this setup to a more modern solution using Shopify’s built-in functionality.

Here’s what I need:
- Migrate the existing size and finish data from Webify to Shopify’s native metafields
- Ensure the new setup is fully integrated into the storefront and checkout
- Preserve or improve the user experience
- Create a system that allows for managing a large number of options cleanly, ideally without relying on outdated workarounds
- The solution should be admin-friendly and sustainable going forward
- Ideally, the setup should be theme-independent so it can migrate smoothly to a new theme (which I’m about to switch to)
