We are developing a pre-checkout consent page that ensures compliance with TCPA, GDPR, and CASL for our AI-driven abandoned cart recovery system. The page must be integrated into Shopify stores, capturing explicit customer consent for SMS and phone call marketing before checkout.
However, we must maintain control over access—so that if a merchant cancels their subscription, the consent page automatically stops working or becomes inaccessible. This project requires Shopify development expertise, API integration knowledge, and a secure licensing mechanism.
? Key Responsibilities:
✅ Develop a Shopify-compatible pre-checkout consent page that seamlessly integrates with Shopify stores.
✅ Ensure the consent page can be embedded, linked, or injected into the cart page (without requiring Shopify Plus).
✅ Implement a secure subscription-based access control system, ensuring that:
If a merchant cancels their subscription, the page is automatically disabled or removed.
Access can be granted/revoked remotely (e.g., via API, webhooks, or Shopify app integration).
✅ Store consent data in a compliant manner (e.g., logging opt-ins with timestamps, IPs, etc.).
✅ Integrate with Shopify APIs & third-party tools (e.g., Klaviyo, Postscript, SMSBump) for seamless marketing automation.
✅ Ensure the solution is scalable and works across multiple Shopify themes (without breaking layouts).
✅ Provide documentation & installation instructions for merchants.
?️ Required Skills & Experience:
✔ Expertise in Shopify Development → Liquid, Shopify APIs, Custom Scripts.
✔ Experience with Subscription-Based Access Control → Webhooks, API authentication, app development, or SaaS licensing.
