Shopify Developer Needed: Product Variant Expansion & API Integration
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I’m looking for an experienced Shopify developer to help with two key tasks:
1. Expanding Product Variant Limits
- Shopify has a 100-variant limit, and my store currently bypasses this using the Webify Metafields Editor app.
- This was set up years ago before Shopify introduced built-in metafields. I’m open to more efficient, modern solutions that integrate seamlessly with Shopify’s current functionality.
- The new solution should be user-friendly, work smoothly on the storefront and checkout, and allow for a large number of product variations (e.g., metal type, stone type, ring size, finish).
2. Supplier API & Gold Market Price Integration
- Some of my products come from a supplier with API access for real-time pricing. I need:
- Automatic pricing updates for these products based on the supplier’s API.
- Regular syncs to ensure my prices reflect the supplier’s current pricing.
Requirements
- Experience with Shopify API, metafields, and product pricing automation.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs for real-time pricing updates.
- Ability to create an efficient, lightweight solution that won’t slow down the site.
- Strong communication skills and documentation of the solution for future use.
Preferred but Not Required
- Experience working with jewelry or other customizable products.
- Understanding of precious metal pricing structures and how to implement dynamic pricing.
