Shopify Custom Login for Wholesale Clients

I'm seeking a Shopify expert to enhance our current store. The task involves implementing a login system which restricts access solely to our manually created wholesale clients (existing customers).
so we do NOT want anyone to be able to register/sign-in. Only way to get to checkout is if you have logged in and you can only login if
-your email is an existing customer (which we have manually created in admin customers)
so this means public can never see checkout page.
TASK=simply to block access to the checkout page unless user provides an email address we already have in customers
fyi, we use shopify standard.
