Set Up Outbrain Pixels via GTM for my Shopify website
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I want my Shopify store to pass clean, reliable conversion data to Outbrain. At the moment no Google Tag Manager container is live on the site, so the first task is to integrate GTM with Shopify and confirm it loads on every public page.
Once GTM is in place, configure the full Outbrain pixel suite inside the container—Purchase, Add to Cart, Page View, plus any other conversion events that can help optimise campaigns. Follow Outbrain’s implementation guide, use the “Direct Response” event type for purchases, and pass order value whenever possible.
After publishing, use GTM preview and Outbrain’s debugger to validate that each tag fires correctly. I’ll then run a real checkout so we can confirm the purchase appears in the Outbrain Direct Response tracker.
Deliverables
• GTM installed and verified on Shopify
• Outbrain Purchase, Add to Cart, Page View, and extra conversion pixels deployed via GTM
• Successful test purchase tracked in Outbrain Direct Response (value captured)
• Brief hand-off note outlining tag setup and future-proofing
If you’re already comfortable working with Outbrain, Shopify, and GTM, this should be a straightforward implementation.
