Penrose is seeking a resourceful and detail-oriented Website Developer who can build clean, responsive, and high-performing websites across WordPress, Shopify, and custom code. If you take pride in writing clean code, meeting deadlines, and delivering optimized digital experiences, this role is for you.

As our go-to web expert, you’ll transform designs and concepts into functional websites with speed, precision, and a strong focus on performance. You’ll also play a key role in ensuring smooth functionality, optimizing user experience across devices, and proactively identifying areas of improvement post-launch.

Key Responsibilities

-Build, customize, and optimize websites on WordPress (themes, plugins, performance tuning) and ----Shopify (theme customization using Liquid, Shopify CLI).
-Implement custom-coded sections/features as required.
-Ensure responsive, cross-browser compatible, and fast-loading websites.
-Integrate third-party tools including APIs, CRMs, analytics, and payment gateways.
-Work from Figma (or similar) to deliver pixel-perfect designs.
-Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and post-launch improvements.
-Provide clean handoffs, documentation, and updates.

Qualifications

-3–4 years of professional website development experience.
Strong expertise in:
-WordPress (custom themes/plugins, optimization)
-Shopify (Liquid, Shopify CLI)
-Coding with HTML, CSS (Tailwind bonus), JavaScript (Vanilla/jQuery)
Proven ability to:
-Optimize site performance and speed
-Ensure responsive and cross-platform compatibility
-Use Git/version control and deployment workflows
-Strong skills in integrating APIs, CRMs, analytics, and payment gateways.

Contribution to internal systems, templates, or documentation.
Exposure to automation tools (Zapier, outbound/inbound tech stacks).

Other Details

Hours: Must be available during US working hours.
Location: Remote/virtual, with proven ability to deliver independently.
Start Date: Immediate preferred; up to 30-day notice acceptable for the right candidate.
