Revamp Australian E-commerce: Shopify Expert Needed

An Australian, family‑friendly online store focused on practical, everyday products across home, storage, cleaning, travel, pets, and lifestyle categories. We are seeking an experienced Shopify developer/designer to redesign our website using a modern theme such as Maximise, Next, or a similar high‑performance template.

The goal is to create a clean, intuitive, mobile‑optimised shopping experience with strong SEO foundations and an integrated AI product‑description workflow.

Scope of Work
1. Theme Installation & Customisation
- Install and configure the chosen Shopify theme (Maximise, Next, or similar).
- Customise colours, fonts, layout, and branding to match a clean, trustworthy Australian retail style.
- Ensure fast load times, clean navigation, and strong mobile responsiveness.

2. Homepage Redesign
- Create a modern, high‑converting homepage including:
- Hero banner
- Featured collections
- Best sellers / New arrivals
- Seasonal or value‑driven sections (e.g., “Under $20”)
- Trust badges and shipping info
- Clean footer with policy links and contact details

3. Category & Navigation Structure
- Build an intuitive mega menu and collection structure.
- Set up top‑level categories such as:
- Home & Kitchen
- Cleaning & Laundry
- Storage & Organisation
- Outdoor & Travel
- Kids & Family
- Pets
- Health & Beauty
- Tools & DIY

4. Collection Page Setup
- Configure collection templates with:

- SEO‑friendly collection descriptions (we will provide or collaborate on these)

5. Product Page Setup
- Clean, modern product page layout including:
- Image gallery
- Bullet‑point features
- Specifications table
- Trust badges
- Shipping/returns info
- Recommended products section

6. SEO Foundations
- Ensure clean URL handles for all collections and products.
- Add meta titles/descriptions for collections (we can supply content).
- Add image alt text templates.
- Ensure theme supports schema markup and fast performance.

7. AI Product Description App Setup
- Install and configure an AI product‑description tool (e.g., Discretely, Zeno, CopyMonkey).
- Set up custom templates with:
- Australian tone
- Practical, family‑friendly voice
- SEO keyword insertion
- Bullet‑point specs + longer lifestyle descriptions
- Ensure the app integrates with Shopify metafields for bulk editing.

8. General Store Setup
- Update navigation, footer, and policy pages.
- Ensure all apps are functioning correctly.
- Test across desktop and mobile.
- Provide a short handover guide or Loom video explaining how to update products and collections.
