Ongoing SEO Support for Australian Beauty eCommerce Brand
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
Overview:
I’m seeking an experienced SEO specialist to support the ongoing SEO strategy and execution for an Australian eCommerce brand in the beauty / skincare device space.
This is not a short-term or volume-based SEO project. I’m looking for a strategic partner who understands modern SEO best practice, brand protection, compliance, and long-term organic growth.
I am currently reassessing my SEO setup, as I am not satisfied with legacy, quantity-driven approaches (e.g. bulk backlinks, keyword stuffing, generic SEO blogs). This project requires a quality-first, transparent, and intent-led SEO approach.
About the Business:
Australian-based eCommerce brand
Sells premium at-home skincare devices (LED face masks, EMS eye devices, pore cleansing tools)
Operates in a regulated beauty device category where trust, compliance, and brand credibility are critical
SEO must complement paid media (Google Ads, Meta) — not conflict with it
Scope of Work:
1. Technical & On-Site SEO
You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the site’s SEO foundation, including:
- Site structure, crawlability, and indexation
- Internal linking strategy
- Page-level optimisation (titles, meta descriptions, headings) with brand-safe language
- Core Web Vitals and general site health
- Identification and prioritisation of technical SEO issues
- No constant rewrites or unnecessary changes — optimisations must be deliberate and justified
2. Search Intent & Keyword Strategy
This project does not focus on large keyword lists.
Instead, you must:
- Map keywords correctly to page types (homepage, collections, products, blogs)
- Focus on search intent and topical relevance, not keyword volume
- Avoid internal keyword cannibalisation
- Build topical authority across LED therapy, EMS eye care, pore care, and at-home skincare devices
3. Content Strategy (Quality Over Quantity)
Content must support authority and conversion — not exist just for SEO.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying high-impact content opportunities (education, comparisons, FAQs, buying guides)
- Providing outlines, recommendations, or drafts (no generic or spun content)
- Ensuring content aligns with compliance requirements and brand tone
- No “SEO articles for backlinks” or filler content
4. Link Building (Selective & Transparent Only)
Link building, if undertaken, must follow strict quality controls.
Requirements:
- Manual, white-hat outreach only
- A small number of high-quality links over time
- Preference for Australian or relevant beauty / lifestyle / editorial websites
- No PBNs, link farms, automated tools, or backlink packages
Domains must be shared for approval before placement, including:
- Domain relevance
- Estimated traffic
- Placement context
(Some weeks may involve no link placements — this is acceptable.)
5. Weekly Communication & Reporting
I expect clear, concise, honest reporting, not vanity metrics.
Weekly updates should include:
- What work was completed
- Pages or areas addressed
- Outreach or links in progress (if applicable)
- Early signals (Search Console impressions, CTR, indexation, keyword movement where relevant)
- Priorities for the following week
- Any risks, blockers, or recommendations
What I Am NOT Looking For:
Please do not apply if your approach relies on:
- Fixed backlink or keyword volume packages
- PBNs or bulk link building
- Automated SEO tools without manual oversight
- Keyword stuffing or aggressive commercial language
- Generic SEO blogs created solely to host links
- One-size-fits-all SEO strategies
Ideal Candidate:
You are a good fit if you:
- Have proven experience with eCommerce SEO
- Understand SEO for regulated or trust-sensitive categories
- Can explain why you recommend actions, not just what to do
- Value transparency, quality, and long-term growth
- Are comfortable being questioned and collaborating closely
- Experience with Australian brands is a strong advantage.
Engagement Details:
- Ongoing monthly engagement
- Weekly deliverables and updates expected
- Budget is flexible for the right expertise
- Trial period may apply
To Apply:
Please include:
- A brief explanation of your SEO approach
- Examples of similar eCommerce or brand-led SEO work
- How you handle link building (if at all)
- How you measure success beyond traffic alone
Generic or copy-paste proposals will be ignored.
