I am upgrading my Shopify product tagging to improve discovery, filtering, and long-term catalog scalability.
Confidentiality note:
We keep our product catalog and business data private. Detailed governance files, exports, and store specifics will be shared only after an NDA is signed. Until then, we will provide a sanitized brief. (1500-2000) products + variants
Important context (governance already complete):
We already have a finalized Unified Product Tag Governance List (approved tag families, prefixes, and allowed tags). You are not being asked to design or rebuild taxonomy/governance — the job is strictly to implement it in Leap.
Project goal:
Implement our existing governance in Leap Auto Tags so every product is automatically tagged correctly, existing products are normalized, and tags stay accurate going forward.
Scope / deliverables (products only):
Configure Leap workflows to apply our governed tag families:
brand_, cat_, type_, compat_, feat_, usecase_, env_, bundle_
using our provided governance list.
Test workflows on a small sample of products, then refine rule logic as needed.
Run staged backdating to normalize the full catalog family-by-family.
Run a one-time migration batch to convert connector tags currently in type_* into governed compat_* tags, and remove legacy connector tags.
Set weekly scheduled runs for ongoing maintenance.
Provide a simple handoff: workflow inventory
Out of scope for now:
order tagging, customer tagging, advanced segmentation, full metafields rollout.
What I am looking for:
Proven experience with Leap Auto Tags (or equivalent Shopify tagging automation)
Comfort with complex conditions (AND/OR), backdating, and tag cleanup patterns
Strong Shopify catalog/ops background
Willingness to work under NDA and handle confidential data appropriately
