Increase Shopify Variation Limit

Hi, for our internal project we need to increase the variation limit on our Shopify site which by default is 100 variations for each product. We should increase this to at least 500 variations per product as we sell shirts in many colors and sizes. We don't want apps as they don't integrate with our customizer.
We are waiting for a quote for entering the code in shopify. Thank you
