Detail-Oriented Web Developer for Multiple Sites
Budget: $8 – $15 AUD
We are seeking a reliable, detail oriented remote Web Developer to support ongoing website changes across multiple WordPress and Shopify sites. This role focuses on maintaining and improving site performance, implementing content and layout updates, supporting technical SEO, and helping build and refine our brands online.
Key responsibilities
Implement ongoing website updates across WordPress and Shopify (layout, content, navigation, product pages, collections, landing pages).
Build and optimise pages using themes and page builders where appropriate (and custom code when needed).
Maintain site speed, performance, and mobile responsiveness.
Identify, fix, and prevent website issues (broken layouts, plugin conflicts, checkout issues, forms, tracking, theme bugs).
Technical SEO support including:
On page SEO improvements (titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking)
Site structure and URL best practices
Schema markup where relevant
Image optimisation and Core Web Vitals improvements
Redirects and broken link management
Support SEO and analytics tooling (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Tag Manager as required).
Coordinate with our team on priorities, timelines, and rollout plans across multiple brands.
Maintain clean documentation of changes and ensure updates are tested before going live.
Required experience
Proven experience developing and maintaining WordPress and Shopify websites.
Strong working knowledge of:
HTML, CSS, JavaScript
WordPress themes, plugins, and troubleshooting
Shopify themes, Liquid, and Shopify apps
Practical experience implementing SEO improvements and technical SEO fixes.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work across multiple sites without errors.
Ability to communicate clearly and provide quick progress updates.
Nice to have
Experience with WooCommerce and Shopify Plus.
Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg, etc.).
Experience with speed optimisation tools and caching/CDNs.
Basic design sense for clean, conversion focused layout improvements.
Copy or content assistance for SEO when needed.
