Create a Shopify extension for facilitating Shopify-based custom payment -- 2

I am building a Shopify-based website for my client and my client is looking for a custom payment procedure to be implemented into the Shopify, website we are building for them. Please find the diagram attached for the outlining of the process.
My client has an online designer women's dress rental business.
My client has already achieved this backend procedure through Stripe, on their old WordPress site, and they wanted the same thing to be implemented on Shopify. The entire Shopify website is built by us. We need only the payment process to be implemented in the new Shopify website.
We would really appreciate if you could point us in the right direction by letting us know if it can be done by you and implemented on the website. We are looking for the best solution for finding a way of automating the security hold charge and collection of funds on the payment method if the dress gets stolen for our client.
