CRO & UX Specialist for D2C Brand Shopify Store

Job ID: 39265952

Budget: €18 – €36 EUR

We are a premium D2C brand based in Italy, selling handcrafted candles and home decor through Shopify. Our products are emotionally driven, sustainable, and visually refined. While we’re actively running paid acquisition campaigns, we are looking for someone to help us turn more traffic into customers through optimized user experience and conversion-focused improvements.

We’re seeking a **hands-on CRO & UX Specialist** who not only knows how to analyze data, but can also **implement practical optimizations directly within Shopify**, using HTML/CSS and working with our theme’s Liquid structure when needed.

You’ll work closely with the founder and our Ads Technical Specialist, contributing to the performance growth of the store with a mix of analytics, insight, UX hypotheses, and tactical adjustments.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Analyze funnel behavior and site performance using GA4, Shopify Analytics, Hotjar/Clarity
- Identify CRO opportunities (friction points, mobile UX issues, CTA visibility, etc.)
- Suggest and prioritize UX improvements for key pages (home, product, cart, checkout)
- Implement quick changes via Shopify’s editor or directly in theme files (HTML/CSS)
- Collaborate with Ads team to align landing pages and conversion goals
- Build basic reports or dashboards (GA4 or Looker Studio) for ongoing monitoring

**What You Will NOT Be Doing:**
- Full-stack development or coding custom Shopify apps
- Creative direction, copywriting, or ad campaign setup

**Requirements:**
- Strong knowledge of Shopify’s structure and user behavior flows
- Experience with CRO and UX principles in e-commerce (especially D2C)
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS (enough to make direct front-end edits)
- Familiarity with GA4, Shopify Analytics, Hotjar/Clarity
- Comfortable working autonomously and proactively suggesting tests
- Clear and concise communication in English (Italian is a plus)

**Collaboration Terms:**
- Initial audit and analysis of the current store
- Weekly sync (call or async updates)
- 1–3 hours per week average workload, with flexibility based on roadmap
- 3-month starting collaboration, with the possibility of extension

**Nice to Have:**
- Familiarity with conversion copywriting best practices
- Experience integrating Shopify apps related to CRO (upsell, sticky cart, badges, etc.)
