Add to cart virtual option shopify

Hi we have a tool to select a custom engraving on our product and right now we are adding this option through an external plugin with and input that it is hidden and takes the engraving text from our tool, we would like to code it directly so we don´t need to use any plugin, let me know if any questions about this task and please send a private message on how do you think you can do it, thanks!
