Add 2 Images to Shopify Page

I have created a "resources" page on Shopify, where the page is divided into two segments. I am trying to add 2 images, one above each header. I have used basic HTML to code this page, and when I try to add the images, it pushes everything down so the text section bleeds into the website footer instead of expanding the page to include all parts.
