SHOPIFY DESIGNER & DEVELOPER NEEDED FOR STRANDS

I am looking for an experienced Shopify designer/developer to create a high-quality, professional website for Strands.

Strands is an established barber and tattoo business in Northern Ireland, with plans to expand into merchandise, grooming products, coffee and education. The website must feel like a complete premium brand—not a generic Shopify template.

BRAND DIRECTION

The design should be:

• Premium, clean and modern
• Mainly black and white with subtle warm gold details
• Stylish and masculine without looking overly dark
• Inspired by traditional barbering, fashion and artistic culture
• Professional on desktop and mobile
• Easy for customers to navigate, shop and book appointments

PROJECT SCOPE

The freelancer will be responsible for:

Designing and building the complete Shopify website.
Customising a suitable premium Shopify theme.
Creating a professional homepage and navigation system.
Adding and organising products, collections, descriptions, prices, images and variants.
Connecting Shopify with Printful.
Creating and publishing Printful merchandise using supplied Strands branding.
Setting up automatic Printful order fulfilment correctly.
Integrating our Nearcut booking system into the website.
Adding clear “Book an Appointment” buttons throughout the website.
Setting up Shopify payments, shipping, taxes and customer emails.
Adding legal pages, delivery information, returns policy, privacy policy and terms.
Completing basic on-page SEO, image optimisation and Google indexing setup.
Connecting social media accounts and email sign-up.
Testing checkout, booking links, Printful orders and the complete mobile experience.
Providing a handover video showing how I can update products, images and website content.

• Instagram or social content
• Location, opening hours and contact information
• Email sign-up
• Professional footer

PRINTFUL REQUIREMENTS

The freelancer must:

• Connect Printful and Shopify correctly
• Upload and organise the agreed merchandise
• Set up product colours, sizes, mockups and size guides
• Check product costs and profit margins
• Configure shipping profiles
• Test automatic order transfer and fulfilment
• Ensure Printful products are clearly separated from any products fulfilled directly by Strands

NEARCUT REQUIREMENTS

The freelancer must confirm how Nearcut will be integrated before starting. This may be an embedded booking experience or branded booking buttons linking customers to our Nearcut system.

The booking journey must be simple and work properly on mobile.
