Shopify Video Hosting App Development
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I need a full-cycle developer who can turn my concept for a “product video host” into a live, installable Shopify app. The single purpose of the app is clear: let merchants upload and manage product videos right inside their admin, then display those videos on the relevant product pages without having to rely on YouTube, Vimeo, or any other external player.
Here’s what I have in mind:
• Admin experience – a clean React/Polaris interface where users drag-and-drop product videos, pick the products they belong to, and set basic options such as thumbnail, autoplay, mute, or loop.
• Storage & streaming – please leverage a scalable service (AWS S3 + CloudFront, Firebase, or similar) and handle encoding so videos play smoothly on all breakpoints.
• Storefront integration – a liquid snippet or Online Store 2.0 app block that injects the responsive player, respects theme style where possible, and loads lazily to protect performance.
• App architecture – use Shopify CLI, App Bridge, GraphQL Admin API, and follow the latest extension best practices so the app passes Shopify’s review on the first attempt.
• Deployment – set up the app within my Partner account, push it to a test store for QA, and document the steps needed to submit it to the public App Store (or keep it unlisted if that’s faster).
Deliverables
1. Complete source code in a private repo.
2. Production-ready build deployed to my Partner dashboard.
3. Installation link, demo store with the player active on at least one product, and concise setup documentation.
4. Post-launch support window (bug fixes) so we can clear any issues Shopify flags during review.
