Project Overview:

I run a Shopify store and want to accept PayPal payments directly on the product page using PayPal Smart Buttons. These buttons must support PayPal, Visa, debit card, and Apple Pay based on the customer’s device and location.

After a successful payment, I want the system to automatically create a Shopify order and send a thank-you email to the customer.

This solution should use:
• PayPal Smart Buttons
• PayPal Webhooks
• A backend server
• Shopify Admin API

Project Goals:
1. Display PayPal Smart Buttons on Shopify product pages.
• Must support: PayPal, Apple Pay, Visa, and debit card
• Buttons should automatically adapt to user location and device
2. Set up a Webhook Server to handle PayPal payment notifications:
• Listen for PAYMENT.CAPTURE.COMPLETED event
• Validate payment data
3. Shopify Admin API Integration:
• Create an order in Shopify after successful PayPal payment
• Include product title, variant ID, quantity, and customer email
• Trigger Shopify’s thank-you email or redirect to a thank-you page
4. No use of third-party tools or platforms (such as Zapier or Make)
5. Live Mode Only – This project must work in production (no sandbox/testing only)
