GoDaddy-to-Shopify Store Migration
Budget: $750 – $1,500 CAD
I’m ready to retire our current GolfersAnonymous site on GoDaddy and relaunch it on Shopify so we can finally take advantage of Shopify’s stronger e-commerce engine. The core objective is simple: once the switch is complete I want smoother product management, streamlined checkout, and the kind of back-office reporting GoDaddy just can’t match.
During the rebuild I also want to tackle three user-experience pain points that have been holding us back:
• Faster page load times so visitors aren’t left waiting.
• Cleaner, more intuitive navigation that guides shoppers to products in fewer clicks.
• Full mobile responsiveness so the storefront feels native on any phone or tablet.
You’re free to choose a Shopify theme or build one from scratch, as long as those three outcomes are obvious in the finished site. All existing product data, images, blog posts, and customer records need to come across intact; URLs should redirect properly so we don’t lose search momentum. My GoDaddy hosting will stay live until we flip the DNS, so you can work in a private Shopify theme first.
When hand-over comes, I’ll expect:
• A live Shopify store at golfersanonymous.com with all current content migrated.
• Theme and code optimised for speed (I’ll run it through Shopify’s online speed analysis).
• Logical menu structure and simplified collections that back up the “improved navigation” goal.
• Confirmation that the storefront passes Google’s mobile-friendly test.
If this scope is clear and you’ve migrated GoDaddy or similar builds to Shopify before, I’d love to see your plan and timeframe.
