This is what I need is 3 small AWS CLI Bash Scripts
Script one: Create a test server in AWS
- Region us-east-1 – simple small
- 10gb boot volume
- Simple OS free
- Hostname “testserver”
Add 2 tags to the server
Name testserver
Job Job1
Add 3 tags to the boot volume
Name testserverDisk
Job Job1
Duty Job2
Script two: Report on What that (passing a server name)
EC2 ID eg 12345678
Name ej testserver
Boot Disk name /dev/sda1
Region and AZ – us-east-1a
All Present Tags on Host
All present Tags on Volume
Is boot volume encrypted
Anything else important but need clear and simple
Script three: encryption (passing a server name)
- Check if the boot volume is encrypted
- Create a snapshot of the boot volume
- Create a new Volume from the snapshot that is encrypted
- Disconnect the current volume
- Connect to the encrypted volume
- Must have the same details
- EC2 ID eg 12345678
- Name ej testserver
- Boot Disk name /dev/sda1
- Region and AZ – us-east-1a
- Any and tags to the boot volume
- Show the detail side by side or up and down for comparison
