Telegram Bot for Data Collection and Real-Time (Microsoft Excel) SharePoint Integration
I,m looking for a freelancer to develop a Telegram bot that will collect text-based data from multiple users and transmit it real-time to an Excel file stored in SharePoint. The system should be able to handle a large volume of data submissions, with an expected volume of around 500,000 records.
Key Requirements:
Data Collection:
The bot should gather the following data from users:
School Name
School Number
School ID
Asset Type (dropdown: e.g., PC, Laptop, Tablet)
Model
Brand
Serial Number
Status (dropdown: Working, Not Working, etc.)
Number of Classes (Numeric field to input the number of classrooms in the school)
Number of Computers Needed (Numeric field to input how many computers the school requires)
Number of Projectors Needed (Numeric field to input how many projectors the school requires)
The bot should be designed for easy mobile data entry by users (smartphones/tablets).
Data Validation:
The bot should ensure basic data validation:
Text format (e.g., ensuring the school name is valid, model, brand, etc.).
Numerical entries (e.g., checking if numbers are valid for school number, ID, number of classes, computers, and projectors).
Dropdown selections (asset type and status).
Email and serial number formats if applicable.
Data Transmission:
Once data is entered by the user, it should be immediately transmitted to an Excel file on SharePoint.
The system should use Power Automate or a similar tool to automatically update SharePoint with new data submissions from the bot in real-time.
The system should track:
Who submitted the data (e.g., username or ID of the person submitting the record).
Time and date of submission.
Ensure that data performance is optimized to handle high volumes of records, preventing slowdowns or timeouts (particularly as the record count grows to 500,000).
User Flow & Features:
After entering data, users should be prompted to either:
Add another device (for the same school).
Start a new school entry (if the user is submitting data for a different school).
The bot should be easy to use on mobile devices, with a simple and intuitive flow.
Submission Tracking:
Each submission should include metadata to track:
User who submitted the record (Telegram username or ID).
Date and time of the submission (automatically generated by the bot).
This metadata should be logged along with the rest of the collected data in the Excel file on SharePoint.
Deliverables:
A Telegram bot that can be deployed on mobile devices.
Data validation rules to ensure that submitted data is in the correct format.
Integration with Power Automate (or similar) to send data from the Telegram bot to an Excel file on SharePoint in real-time.
The system should be capable of handling 500,000+ records, with performance optimization.
User and submission tracking: Ability to log who submitted each record and the time and date of submission along with the data.
