Sharepoint SPFX section layout responsive webpart similat to OOTB webpart

I have a SPFX webpart with controls with fixed width , height ,font (all css elements) . My issue is that ,if we place that webpart in different section layouts (one column, 2 columns or 3 columns layouts ) of a sharepoint page the webpart is not responsive . It will appear differently in different section layouts. Depending up on the section , the webpart should automatically adjust all controls like out of the box webpart . It should not cut off the text if the webpart is placed in different page section layout.
