Project Brief: Staff Hours & Leave Management Solution

Project Goal:
To replace an existing manual, spreadsheet-based process for managing staff hours, holiday accrual, and absences with an automated, reliable solution built on the Microsoft Power Platform. The aim is to improve efficiency, ensure data accuracy, reduce administrative time, enhance compliance tracking, and provide managers with better oversight.

Proposed Solution Overview:
Develop a Power Platform solution utilizing SharePoint Lists as the data backend. A user will manually upload a CSV data export. A Power Automate flow will trigger on this upload, parse the CSV file, perform necessary calculations, and update the relevant SharePoint Lists. A Power App will provide the user interface for managers to view processed data and manage staff information.

Key Data Source:
* A CSV file manually uploaded by an end-user. This file contains exported data (e.g., hours worked, holidays, absences) from a primary source system. The specific structure and column headers of this CSV need to be defined.

Core Functionality / Features Required:
The solution must allow managers (via the Power App interface) to:
* Manage staff profiles stored in SharePoint Lists (including contracted hours, leave allowances, employment dates).
* View tracked hours worked against contracted hours, based on calculations performed by Power Automate.
* Monitor accrued leave (factoring in relevant rules like bank holidays), calculated by Power Automate.
* View tracked and flagged absences.
* Access information related to compliance checks performed by Power Automate (e.g., ensuring contractual hours are met over specified periods).

Key Deliverables:
Verification os Sharepoint List setup (previously done)
* Power Automate Processing Flow: An automated flow triggered by the CSV upload that:
* Parses the CSV data.
* Executes the defined business logic for calculations (hours, leave accrual, compliance checks).
* Creates or updates items in the designated SharePoint Lists.
* Power App User Interface: A user-friendly Power App connected to the SharePoint Lists, providing views/dashboards of staff information, balances, and notifications.
* User Documentation & Training: Materials to enable end-users to utilize the system effectively.

Technology Stack:
* Microsoft Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate.
* Microsoft SharePoint Online: Lists for data storage.
* To be deployed within the client's environment, using an E3 License.

Project Context:
This project was previously initiated, and development may have already commenced. The current request is to scope the effort required to complete the project based on these updated requirements and technology choices.
